4NXCI is a tool to convert XCI files to NSP

Currently only supports Windows, other systems not supported

Usage Method

GUI Tool

If not used to commands can download GUI version, file naming roughly 4nxci-v4.03_GUI.zip

Command Line Tool

.\4nxci.exe [options...] <path_to_file.xci> 
 
Options: 
-k, --keyset Set keyset file path, default is ./keys.dat 
-h, --help Display help information
-t, --tempdir Set temporary folder
-o, --outdir Set export folder
-r, --rename Set exported nsp file's filename
--keepncaid Keep current ncas ID

About keyset File

Copy the following code into a txt file, then rename to keys.dat Use GUI or command line tool to import

Localization Installer Tutorial:

First, use card reader to insert SD card into computer.
Open SD card drive.
Put Nintendo Switch System Localization Patch.exe into card.
Run Nintendo Switch System Localization Patch.exe
Follow prompts to select.

Does localization affect games?

Generally localization causing game crashes is due to text errors, new localization has already fixed most issues. Of course actual effects still need testing.

In actual use: xci, throw into memory card can use, nsp, need to install before can use Simple understanding is, xci is portable software (correctly should be ISO), nsp is installer software.

Because xci is equivalent to cartridge, doesn’t need installation, needs switching. nsp is equivalent to digital version, needs installation, after installation can play directly
